Introduction:
Lutein and Zeaxanthin are the main active ingredients of Marigold. Both are enriched in the macular region of the retina and constitute the macular pigment. Because the human body cannot synthesize Lutein and Zeaxanthin by itself, it must be ingested from the diet. Marigold extract provides the body with natural Lutein and Zeaxanthin supplements. Also, it is an excellent coloring agent.
Lutein and Zeaxanthin have strong antioxidant ability, which can inhibit the activity of oxygen free radicals and stop the damage of normal cells by oxygen free radicals.
