As the golden season of autumn arrives, branches heavy with fruit signal abundance and prosperity. On September 27, 2025 (the sixth day of the eighth lunar month), the launch ceremony of the Phase II Project of Longsheng Nutramax Biotechnology Co., Ltd.’s full industrial chain for monk fruit processing was grandly held at the Lama Poverty Alleviation Industrial Park in Longsheng Various Nationalities Autonomous County.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Li Yifei, Secretary of the CPC Longsheng County Committee; Jiang Wenming, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of Longsheng County; Zhang Baotang, Chairman of Hunan Nutramax Inc.; representatives of financial institutions in Longsheng; more than 60 suppliers; and numerous industry peers. Together, they witnessed this historic moment — a milestone that not only marks a new stage in the company’s growth but also drives regional industrial upgrading.
A Strategic Milestone in the Monk Fruit Industry
As the core platform of Hunan Nutramax Inc. (Stock Code: 831319) in building a complete monk fruit industrial chain, the launch of the Longsheng Phase II Project signifies a breakthrough in both capacity expansion and technological transformation in the natural sweetener sector.
Since its founding in 2008, Hunan Nutramax has remained committed to the field of natural plant extracts. The company has secured 49 national invention patents and holds three valid international PCT patents authorized in the United States and the European Union. With its green, efficient, and energy-saving production processes, Nutramax has become a benchmark enterprise in the plant extract industry. The launch of Phase II once again demonstrates the company’s ability to transform research excellence into industrial advantage.
Leaders’ Remarks: Shared Commitment to Growth
At the ceremony, Chairman Zhang Baotang delivered a keynote speech. He extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests and expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Longsheng County government, industry partners, and the project team for their unwavering support and dedication.
He noted that the Phase II Project, launched in May and completed in less than five months, introduces a fully integrated production line — spanning extraction, enzyme deactivation, centrifugation, membrane filtration, column adsorption, decolorization, purification, concentration and sterilization, spray drying, and packaging. This extension of the process chain marks a leap forward in production capacity. Once in operation, the facility will process up to 200 tons of monk fruit daily, further consolidating Nutramax’s strengths in capacity and technology within the natural sweetener sector.
Chairman Zhang also commended Longsheng’s favorable business environment and efficient government services. Looking ahead, he pledged that Longsheng Nutramax will continue to advance the “Company + Cooperative + Farmer” model, contributing to rural revitalization and local industrial upgrading. Guided by the principles of innovation, collaboration, and shared success, the company will enforce strict quality standards, enhance operational efficiency, and strive to build Longsheng Nutramax into an industry benchmark — dedicated to advancing global health and sugar reduction.
Jiang Wenming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Longsheng County Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, delivered a speech congratulating the launch of the project. He highly recognized Longsheng Nutramax’s significant role in enhancing the local industrial chain and driving economic development, while also expressing high expectations for the company’s future growth.
Long Weian, General Manager of Longsheng Nutramax, added that the launch of the full industrial chain brings new vitality to the group, opening a new chapter in brand influence and productivity. Quoting the saying, “When aspirations align, no mountain or sea is too far,” he encouraged all partners to pursue excellence together and to co-create a brilliant future for Longsheng Nutramax.
Representing the industry association, Tian Jie, Vice President of the Hunan Plant Extract Association, also addressed the audience. She expressed her honor in witnessing such a significant industry event and congratulated the Nutramax team on achieving yet another breakthrough in supply chain capability. She emphasized that this project represents a full-scale upgrade for the monk fruit sector, realizing localized integration across cultivation, deep processing, and sales.
A Ceremonial Launch: From the Mountains to the World
Following the speeches, Li Yifei, Secretary of the Longsheng County Party Committee, solemnly announced the official launch of the project. Together with Chairman Zhang Baotang, General Manager Long Weian, and Yin Zhenhua, General Manager of Tianman Bio, he joined in the symbolic inaugural feeding ceremony. Freshly harvested monk fruit was poured into the production line, and as the fruits cascaded into the equipment, the machines instantly roared to life. The steady movement of the conveyor belts carried this “sweet gift of the mountains” into the next stages of production, while the rhythmic hum of the machinery mingled with the cheers of the audience.
This moment was not only a celebration of the successful launch of Phase II, but also a powerful symbol of transformation — marking the journey of Longsheng’s monk fruit from a local specialty to an essential component of the global natural sweetener industry.
Guests were then invited to tour the new production line, experiencing firsthand the advanced processes and expanded capacity of the Phase II facilities.
Broad Recognition and a Shared Vision for the Future
The event also received congratulatory messages from numerous research institutions and industry partners, including the National Center for Plant Resources and Ingredient Utilization, the Hunan Plant Extract Association, Guilin Layn Natural Ingredients, and Hunan Huacheng Biotech, among others. This outpouring of recognition highlights Nutramax Bio’s respected standing within the industry.
From cultivating the so-called “Oriental Sacred Fruit” in the mountains, to the precise extraction of natural sweeteners, and finally to delivering value in global markets, the launch of Longsheng Nutramax’s Phase II Project represents a pivotal moment in the company’s journey toward building a fully integrated industrial chain.
Looking ahead, Hunan Nutramax will take this achievement as a new starting point. The company will continue to empower the industry through science and technology, deepen the model of government-enterprise cooperation and farmer participation, and drive the high-quality development of the monk fruit sector. At the same time, it will inject lasting vitality into rural revitalization in Longsheng, ensuring that this natural “sweetness” benefits communities worldwide.
